The First Meeting of the Netherlands Society for Evolutionary Biology (NLSEB)
Wednesday 11 April 2018 in Ede

The full program and abstracts are available now!

With this first NLSEB meeting, we aim to bring together scientists from all disciplines working on evolutionary questions, and thereby start building a broad community of evolutionary biologists based in the Netherlands, to fuel discussion and cross-fertilization of ideas.

Therefore, the meeting offers a broad overview of the topics and questions within evolutionary biology, presented in five exciting plenary talks. These talks will each address key research topics within present-day evolutionary biology from a broad perspective, to captivate the broad community that we are.

Registration for the  meeting is closed.

Registration information:

Registration for the meeting is closed.

Annual membership fee of NLSEB is 40 euros. It is possible to sign up as member of NLSEB  following this link..

Why become member? Members can vote on who will be the board of NLSEB and will be on a mailing list that will keep you informed about meetings etc. But most of all, it will be support to a society that can represent evolutionary biology to funding agencies such as NWO and that will maintain an active community of evolutionary biologists in the Netherlands.

During registration you will be asked whether you attend dinner or not, for organizational purpose.

An exciting meeting asks for a unique venue and this is exactly what we found: Akoesticum, the only national training centre for music, dance and theatre! This venue offers all facilities for an energizing first meeting of all the different disciplines within the field of evolutionary biology.

Akoesticum is located in Ede, within easy walking distance of train station “Ede-Wageningen”, but also has its own free parking space. For more information see:
